Choosing An Asset Type

Open Add Holding ("Choose an asset type to get started") and pick one (step 1 of 3):

  • Stocks & ETFs — ASX, NYSE, NASDAQ and more

  • Cryptocurrency — Bitcoin, Ethereum and 1,000+ coins

  • Cash & Fixed Income — Term deposits, bonds, savings

  • Custom Asset — Property, collectibles, private equity

Adding a Listed Stock or ETF

  1. Tap Stocks & ETFs.

  2. Type a stock symbol or company name (search starts at two characters).

  3. Each result row shows the symbol, company name, logo and exchange.

  4. Tap the holding you want — you'll move straight to the trade form for your first trade.

Entering the First Trade

The trade form (step 3 of 3) opens pre-set to a Buy, showing the holding's symbol, exchange and a running Total.

  1. Trade Type — defaults to Buy; you can change it.

  2. Date — the trade date.

  3. Quantity — shares/units.

  4. Share Price — price per share. Tap the Closing … chip to use that date's closing price if available.

  5. Brokerage(optional) — any fees.

  6. Exchange Rate(optional) — shown only for holdings in a currency other than your portfolio's base; tap the Rate … chip to use the looked-up rate.

  7. Notes and an attachment(both optional).

  8. Tap Save Trade.

The holding is created with this first trade, and you'll land on its detail screen.

Tip: For every field and the other trade types, see Add, Edit or Delete a Trade in the Mobile App.
