This guide shows you how to add your portfolio’s Navexa Link email address to your nabtrade trade confirmations so new trades can flow into Navexa automatically.
Before You Start
Before setting up nabtrade trade confirmation forwarding, make sure you have:
Access to your nabtrade account.
Access to the Navexa portfolio you want the trades imported into.
The correct portfolio’s Navexa Link email address.
Each Navexa portfolio has its own Navexa Link email address. If you manage more than one portfolio, copy the email address from the exact portfolio where you want these nabtrade trades to appear.
Find Your Navexa Link Email
To find your portfolio’s Navexa Link email address in Navexa:
Log in to Navexa.
Open the portfolio you want to connect.
Go to Portfolio.
Select the Portfolio Settings cog near the top right.
Find Navexa Link.
Copy the unique email address shown for that portfolio.
You’ll add this email address inside nabtrade so future trade confirmation PDFs are sent to Navexa. See Finding Your Portfolio’s Unique Email Address for other ways to find it or for step-by-step instructions.
Add Navexa To nabtrade Confirmations
To add your Navexa Link email address to nabtrade trade confirmations:
Log in to nabtrade.
In the top menu, go to Settings.
Select Portfolios and Accounts.
On the Manage Portfolios and Accounts page, scroll to Accounts.
Under Accounts, choose the trading account you want to update.
Scroll to Confirmations.
Click Edit.
Under Additional email addresses select Add Email Address.
Enter your portfolio’s Navexa Link email address.
Confirm the email address.
On the next page, you'll see your Navexa Link email address.
Click Save.
This sends trade confirmation PDFs for that nabtrade trading account to your Navexa Link email address, allowing Navexa to import the trade into the correct portfolio.
Repeat For Each Account
If you have more than one nabtrade trading account, repeat the setup for each account.
To update another trading account:
Click Back to Account Details.
At the top of the page, use Select Account.
Choose the next trading account.
Repeat the confirmation email steps above.
Each trading account needs to have the correct Navexa Link email added separately.
Turn Off Confirmation Notifications
nabtrade can also send a separate email notification when a confirmation has been generated.
This notification is not the same as the trade confirmation PDF. It may not include the trade date, brokerage, or other trade details Navexa needs to import the trade.
To reduce unnecessary emails being sent to Navexa:
In nabtrade, go to Settings.
Select Communication Preferences.
Under Notifications, click Edit.
Find Confirmation Generated.
Make sure the email option is not ticked.
Click Save.
You can leave SMS notifications on if you still want to be notified when a confirmation has been generated.
Keep Notifications Personal
If you want to keep confirmation generated email notifications turned on, make sure they only go to your personal email address.
On the Communication Preferences page, check Delivery Methods and confirm that your Navexa Link email address is not listed for general notifications.
Only the actual trade confirmation PDFs should be sent to Navexa. General nabtrade notification emails should stay with your personal email address.
Check Your Import
After your next nabtrade trade is completed, allow a few minutes for the trade confirmation to be sent and processed.
In Navexa, you can check processing by opening Email Inbox. If the trade confirmation was processed successfully, the trade should appear in the portfolio linked to that Navexa Link email address.
Common Issues
Why Didn’t My Trade Import?
A nabtrade trade may not import if the Navexa Link email address was added to the wrong trading account, the wrong Navexa portfolio email was used, or nabtrade only sent a notification email instead of the trade confirmation PDF.
Check that:
The correct trading account has the Navexa Link email added under Confirmations.
The email address belongs to the correct Navexa portfolio.
Confirmation Generated email notifications are not being sent to Navexa.
The trade confirmation PDF was generated and sent.
Do I Need To Do This For Every Account?
Yes. If you have multiple nabtrade trading accounts, you need to add the Navexa Link email address to each account separately.
This gives you control over which nabtrade accounts send trade confirmations to Navexa.
