You can set up Gmail to automatically forward trade confirmation emails from your broker straight to your Navexa portfolio.
This ensures your trades are imported without you needing to manually forward each email.
Step 1: Add Your Navexa Link Email
Tip: Already logged into Gmail? Jump straight to Forwarding settings.
In Gmail, go to Settings → See all settings.
Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab (1).
Select Add a forwarding address (2).
Enter your portfolio’s Navexa Link email (see Finding Your Portfolio’s Unique Email Address).
Your Forwarding section should look like the screenshot below.
Note that 'Disable forwarding' is selected as we will do the forwarding via Filters only (so only contract notes/confirmations get sent) in Step 2. If “Forward a copy of incoming mail to …” is selected there, Gmail will forward everything (or close to every email in your inbox) to that Navexa address.
Gmail will send a confirmation request to Navexa. Our system automatically approves it within 1–2 minutes.
Once approved, you’ll get a confirmation email in your Gmail inbox.
Step 2: Set Up a Forwarding Filter
Tip: Already logged into Gmail? Jump straight to the Filters page.
Now you’ll create a filter so only contract notes from your broker are forwarded. We'll use CommSec as the example broker.
Go back to Gmail Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses.
Click Create a new filter.
In the From field, enter your broker’s contract note email address (see list below).
Do not put your Navexa link email in the filter “To” field. Leave “To” blank.
Click Create Filter.
Tick Forward it to, and select your Navexa Link email.
(Optional) Tick Also apply filter to matching conversations to forward past emails too.
Click Create filter to save.
