What is Navexa and who is it for?

Understand what Navexa is, the problems it solves, and the types of investors and advisers it’s designed to help.

What is Navexa?

Navexa is a portfolio tracking, analytics and reporting platform that lets you see all your investments in one place, with accurate, detailed performance data.

It pulls in your trades and prices, then shows:

  • How your portfolio is performing over time

  • What’s driving your returns (gains, income, currency, fees)

  • Tax-focused views and reports (especially for Australian investors)

You can use Navexa on the web and via our mobile apps to check your portfolio from anywhere.

What can Navexa track?

Navexa is built for multi-asset, multi-market portfolios. You can track things like:

  • Stocks & ETFs on major global exchanges (including ASX, US and others supported by our data feeds)

  • Cryptocurrencies

  • Cash accounts and term deposits

  • Many managed and unlisted funds (for example, Australian funds with supported APIRs)

  • Other assets via custom investments (such as property or private holdings)

All of this sits in one dashboard, so you don’t have to maintain multiple spreadsheets or apps.

What Navexa is not

Navexa is not:

  • A broker – you don’t place trades through Navexa

  • A bank or custodian – we don’t hold your money or assets

  • A financial adviser or robo-advisor – Navexa doesn’t give personal financial advice

Think of Navexa as your single source of truth for performance and tax reporting, not a place to buy or sell investments.

Problems Navexa is designed to solve

Navexa exists because many investors run into the same problems:

  • Scattered data across brokers and platforms
You might be using multiple brokers, apps and wallets. It’s hard to see everything together.

  • Spreadsheets that don’t scale
Manual spreadsheets are slow to update, easy to break, and often don’t handle corporate actions, DRPs or currency properly.

  • Confusing performance numbers
“Up 10%” rarely tells the whole story. Navexa factors in time, income, fees and tax settings so you can see true, annualised performance.

  • Stress at tax time
Tracking cost bases, capital gains, and income across accounts can be painful. Navexa helps you prepare accurate data for your accountant or tax software, with a strong focus on Australian CGT and income reporting.

Navexa’s job is to turn all of that into clear charts, tables and reports so you can quickly answer questions like:

  • “What’s really driving my returns?”

  • “How has this portfolio performed over 1, 3, 5+ years?”

  • “What does my tax position look like for this year?”

Who is Navexa for?

Navexa is used by a mix of individual investors and professionals.

Self-directed individual investors

If you manage your own investments and want a clear view of how you’re really performing, Navexa is built for you.

Typical examples:

  • Long-term buy-and-hold investors

  • People investing through online brokers and apps

  • DIY investors who want better data than a basic broker “P&L” view

Australian investors who care about tax

Navexa places a strong emphasis on detailed tax reporting for Australian investors: capital gains, taxable income and ATO-ready data.

If you’re investing on Australian and global markets and want:

  • Accurate CGT calculations

  • Better insight into income and franking credits

  • Data you can hand to your accountant

…Navexa is designed to support that.

If you’re outside Australia, you can still use Navexa for performance tracking and portfolio analytics, but we don’t currently generate country-specific tax reports.

Multi-asset and crypto investors

If your portfolio includes stocks, ETFs, crypto and other assets together, Navexa helps you see the whole picture:

  • Track exchange-traded investments and crypto side by side

  • Include cash, managed funds and custom holdings for a true total view

  • See performance per holding, per portfolio, or across groups of portfolios

SMSF trustees & serious long-term investors

If you run an SMSF or a larger family portfolio, you typically need:

  • More precise, auditable performance and tax data

  • The ability to segment portfolios and holdings

  • Better benchmarking and diversification analysis

Navexa’s analytics and reporting tools are built for that level of detail.

Financial advisers & professionals

Navexa also has features for financial advisers and professionals who need to:

  • Track multiple client portfolios

  • Centralise performance and tax reporting

  • Share clear, visual reports with clients

If you’re an adviser, you can use Navexa as your back-end analytics and reporting engine while you keep using your existing advice process.

Summary

Navexa is:

  • A portfolio tracking and reporting platform

  • For people who want a clear, accurate picture of their true investment performance

  • Across multiple assets, brokers and global markets

  • With strong support for Australian tax reporting, and powerful performance tools for global users

If you’ve moved beyond casually checking prices and want serious, reliable data about your portfolio’s performance and tax, Navexa is designed for that.
