Delete a portfolio in Navexa with clear step-by-step instructions, important warnings, and guidance on what to do if you only need to rename it or change the base currency.

Deleting a portfolio is not reversible. Please take extreme caution when doing this.

This guide helps you permanently remove a portfolio from Navexa without guessing what happens next.

Overview

You can delete a portfolio in Navexa when you no longer need it or want to remove that portfolio’s data.

Deleting a portfolio is permanent. Once you confirm the deletion, it cannot be undone.


Before You Delete a Portfolio

Before you delete a portfolio, make sure you are deleting the correct one.

  • Deleting a portfolio removes that portfolio and its data from Navexa.

  • This action is permanent and cannot be reversed.

  • If you only want to change the portfolio name, you do not need to delete it.

  • If you need a different base currency, you will need to create a new portfolio with the correct setup, then delete the old one if needed.


Step 1: Go to the 'Manage Portfolios' page.

You can get to this page by clicking the 'Portfolio Selector' at the top left, then Manage Portfolios.

Step 2: Click the three-dot (More options) menu

On the Manage Portfolios screen, click the the three-dot (More options) menu on the portfolio you would like to delete. Then click 'Delete'.

Step 3: You'll be asked to confirm the deletion.

Type DELETE to confirm, then Click 'Yes, Delete'

Your portfolio and all the data in it will now be removed from Navexa.


Common Questions

Can I undo a deleted portfolio?

No. A deleted portfolio cannot be recovered.

Should I delete a portfolio if I only want to change the name?

No. If you only want to change the label, rename the portfolio instead.

Do I need to delete a portfolio to change the base currency?

You cannot change a portfolio’s base currency after it has been created.

If you need a different base currency, create a new portfolio with the correct tax residency and base currency, then delete the old portfolio if needed.
