Overview

Navexa tax reports are designed for Australian tax purposes and follow the Australian Tax Office (ATO) financial year (1 July to 30 June).

Once your Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Taxable Income reports are prepared, you can share them with your accountant in two ways:

  • Export the reports to PDF or Excel and send them directly.

  • Share your portfolio with read-only access so your accountant can run reports themselves.

Option 1: Export Reports (PDF or Excel)

These are the two reports most accountants need to complete your ATO return:

Export Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Report

  1. Go to Tax Reporting > Capital Gains Tax.

  2. Select the correct Financial Year (1 July – 30 June).

  3. Click Export to PDF or Export to Excel in the top right.

  4. Save the file.

Export Taxable Income Report

  1. Go to Tax Reporting > Taxable Income.

  2. Select the correct Financial Year.

  3. Click Export to PDF or Export to Excel.

  4. Save the file.

You can then send both reports to your accountant via your preferred secure method.

Tip: PDFs are best for a fixed summary. Excel exports allow your accountant to filter or analyse the data further.

Option 2: Share Your Portfolio (Recommended)

Instead of emailing files, you can give your accountant direct read-only access. This is faster and keeps your data secure inside Navexa.

  1. Open the portfolio you want to share.

  2. Go to Settings > Sharing.

  3. Enter your accountant’s email address.

  4. Set permission to Read-only.

  5. Send the invite.

Your accountant will receive an email invitation to access the portfolio.

What They Can Do

  • Run and export CGT and Taxable Income reports.

  • Review your trade history and holdings for accuracy.

What They Cannot Do

  • Add, edit, or delete trades.

  • Access your other portfolios.

You can revoke access at any time from Settings > Sharing.

Security Note

Navexa keeps your data safe with bank-grade security and three layers of encryption. If you choose to export reports, always send them via a secure channel.
