Run Australian tax-ready reports — capital gains, taxable income, and an ATO myTax summary — plus planning reports from the Tax Reports hub.

The Tax Reports Hub

Open the Tax Reports hub to see every report in three sections:

  • Tax Overview — your tax readiness and position at a glance.

  • Tax ReportsCapital Gains Tax, Taxable Income, ATO myTax.

  • Tax PlanningUnrealised Gains, Historical Cost, Portfolio Valuation.

Most reports use the financial year date pill at the top; tap it to switch years.

Tip: Tax reporting is only available for individual, AUD-based portfolios. On the Capital Gains Tax report, a Portfolio View (group) shows a banner asking you to select an individual portfolio, and a non-AUD portfolio shows Tax reporting is not available for {code} portfolios.

Note: On a free plan, the Capital Gains Tax, Taxable Income, and ATO myTax reports show a Paywall banner with an Upgrade option instead of figures.

Tax Overview

Start here. Pick a financial year; a status bar shows whether you're Tax ready — no issues to resolve or how many issues need resolving. Below is a Summary (Net Capital Gains, Total Income) and a Tax Readiness checklist.

Tap Get Tax Ready to open the Tax Readiness screen — a progress bar and category checklist:

  • Dividends — confirm individually, per holding, or with Confirm All; tap one to edit first.

  • Staking Rewards — confirm crypto income the same way.

  • Holdings — shows which holdings have missing data and why.

  • Trades and Trust Income (AMIT) — resolved/imported on the Navexa web app.

When everything's resolved you'll see You're tax ready!

Tax Reports (Paid)

  • Capital Gains Tax — realised gains/losses for the year: an ATO-style summary, then Short Term Gains, Long Term Gains (50% Discount), distributions, and Capital Losses tables.

  • Taxable Income — dividend/distribution income as ATO return fields (10L, 11S, 11T, 11U, D8…), plus detail tables: Dividends & Distributions, Trust Distributions, Foreign Income, Cash Interest, Crypto Income.

  • ATO myTax — one report pre-formatted for your return: portfolio name, sale allocation method, residency, then Capital Gains and Taxable Income sections, with quick links to the full CGT and Taxable Income reports.

Tax Planning Reports

  • Portfolio Valuation — point-in-time valuation at a Valuation date (defaults to today): units, average unit cost, total cost, current price, value, profit/loss. Filter and group holdings.

  • Unrealised Gains — open positions and their unrealised gain/loss at a Calculation date: CGT-style summary plus Short Term, Long Term, and Capital Losses tables. Filter holdings.

  • Historical Cost — cost-base tracking across every trade for the year: opening balance, purchases, cost of sales, capital adjustments, closing balance. Toggle Include Brokerage, filter, and group.

Export Reports

Open a report's menu and choose Export. Formats: Capital Gains Tax, Taxable Income, ATO myTax, and Unrealised Gains — XLSX + PDF; Historical Cost — XLSX; Portfolio Valuation — PDF. The file opens in your device's share sheet.

Tax Settings

From the Capital Gains Tax menu, tap Tax settings to set the Default Portfolio Sale Allocation Method — how buy parcels match sales:

  • FIFO (First in, First out) — ATO default

  • LIFO (Last in, First out), Maximize Gain, Minimize Gain, Minimize CGT

Override per holding under Per-Holding Overrides. Tap Update Report Settings to save.
