Portfolio Views

Create, edit and delete Portfolio Views in Navexa to analyse portfolios with the same base currency together while keeping their data and tax reporting separate.

Portfolio Views let you analyse multiple portfolios together while keeping each portfolio’s holdings, transactions and tax reporting separate.

How Portfolio Views Work

A Portfolio View combines information from selected portfolios into one high-level view.

When you open a Portfolio View, Navexa can combine the included portfolios when displaying:

  • Portfolio value and performance.

  • Holdings.

  • Income.

  • Portfolio analytics.

  • Supported performance reports.

The underlying portfolios remain separate. Creating a Portfolio View does not move, merge or change any holdings or transactions.

Portfolio Views were previously called Portfolio Groups.

Structure Your Portfolios

In most cases, create one portfolio for each tax entity. See Key Concepts: Portfolio, Holding and Trade.

When To Use A View

Portfolio Views are useful when you want a combined picture across portfolios that need to remain separate.

For example, you could create a Portfolio View to analyse:

  • Your personal portfolio and SMSF together.

  • Portfolios belonging to different family members.

  • Personal, trust and company investments as one overall view.

  • Several AUD portfolios as a combined household view.

Portfolio Views are intended for combined performance and portfolio analysis.

You cannot generate tax reports at the Portfolio View level.

To run a tax report, open the relevant underlying portfolio and select the required report under Tax Reporting.

Create A Portfolio View
