Edit, delete, or correct a trade in Navexa (price, quantity, date, brokerage)

Fix an incorrect holding value by editing or deleting a trade in Navexa. Update price, quantity, date, trade type, or brokerage and learn why prices may look rounded on some screens.

This guide helps you quickly correct trade details so your holdings, performance, and reports reflect the right data.

Edit a trade

1) Open the holding

  1. In the top menu, click Portfolio.

  2. Scroll to Holdings.

  3. Click the holding that looks incorrect.

2) Go to the Trades list

  1. Click the Trades tab.

  2. Find the trade you want to correct.

3) Edit the trade

  1. Click the three-dot icon (⋮) on the far right of the trade row.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Update the fields that are wrong:

    • Trade type (Buy, Sell, etc)

    • Trade date

    • Quantity

    • Share price

    • Brokerage cost (if applicable)

    • Broker name (optional)

    • Add notes (optional)

  4. Click Update Trade to save.

Tip: If you’re unsure which trade is wrong, compare each trade line-by-line against your broker contract note/statement.

Delete a trade (if it should not exist)

Use this when you’ve imported the same trade twice or added it by mistake.

  1. Open the trade via ⋮ > Edit.

  2. Click Delete (bottom of the edit screen).

  3. Re-check the holding value after deletion.

Why the price sometimes looks rounded

Some shares (including ASX) can trade in fractions of a cent (e.g. 0.4925).
Navexa stores the exact trade price you entered. However, some screens may display a rounded value (e.g. 0.493) for readability.

To confirm the exact stored value:

  • Open the holding and check the Trades tab, which shows the precise trade price recorded.

This is a display characteristic only. Your calculations are based on the exact trade data you entered.

Quick checks if the holding still looks wrong

  • Confirm you edited the correct trade (right date and type).

  • Look for a second trade on the same date (duplicates).

  • Confirm brokerage wasn’t missed (small differences can add up).

  • If the issue is only a “tiny” price difference, it may be rounding (see above).

Tip: Double-check all trades for accuracy. Even a small error in quantity, date, or price can affect your overall portfolio performance.
