Portfolio Valuation Report

Use Navexa’s Portfolio Valuation Report to see an AUD portfolio’s value, cost base and unrealised profit or loss at a selected point in time.

Use the Portfolio Valuation Report to see a point-in-time snapshot of every holding’s value, cost base and unrealised profit or loss in an AUD-base portfolio.

Who Can Use It

The Portfolio Valuation Report is available to AUD-billed Navexa subscribers using an AUD-base portfolio.

An AUD-base portfolio is a portfolio whose reporting currency is AUD. Navexa uses AUD for Australian tax reporting, so the Portfolio Valuation Report is only available when the selected portfolio is set to AUD.

If your account is not billed in AUD, or the selected portfolio uses a non-AUD base currency, the Portfolio Valuation Report will not be available.

What The Report Shows

The Portfolio Valuation Report shows the value of your open holdings at a selected date.

It includes:

  • Each holding’s units, average unit cost, total cost, current price, value, profit or loss, and profit/loss percentage.

  • Listed holdings, cash, crypto and custom assets where they exist in the selected portfolio.

  • Subtotals based on the selected grouping.

  • A grand total at the bottom of the report.

An unrealised profit or loss is a potential gain or loss on an investment you still hold. It has not been realised because you have not sold the investment yet.

The valuation date controls the point in time used for the report.

Common Issues

Why Can’t I See It?

The Portfolio Valuation Report is only available for AUD-billed subscribers using AUD-base portfolios.

If you cannot see Tax Reporting or Portfolio Valuation in the left-hand menu, check that:

  • Your Navexa subscription is billed in AUD.

  • The selected portfolio uses AUD as its base currency.

  • You have selected the correct portfolio from the portfolio dropdown.

Why Do Values Change?

The Portfolio Valuation Report recalculates values based on the selected valuation date.

Changing the date can change:

  • The holdings included in the report.

  • The market prices used.

  • Currency conversion values.

  • Cost base values after buys, sells, fees and corporate actions.

Why Don’t Values Match My Broker?

Portfolio Valuation Report values may differ from broker statements because Navexa and your broker may use different market price sources, exchange rates, or timing.

If something looks wrong, check your transactions, income entries and corporate actions first. Incorrect or missing portfolio data can affect the report.
