Add investments to an empty portfolio by connecting a broker, importing a spreadsheet, or adding holdings manually.
Three Ways to Add Data
An empty portfolio shows three options:
Connect Your Broker (fastest) — tap Import My Portfolio. Opens the Navexa broker-connection page in your browser to securely link your brokerage and import automatically. A row of supported broker logos (such as CommSec, SelfWealth, Pearler, CMC Markets, IBKR, CoinSpot and more) shows whether yours is covered.
Import from CSV / Excel — tap Import from CSV / Excel. Opens the Navexa spreadsheet uploader in your browser to upload a file of your trades.
Add Data Manually — tap Add Data Manually to open the Add Holding flow in the app.
Tip: Broker connection and spreadsheet import open in your browser because they reuse your existing Navexa web login — nothing extra to sign into.
Add a Holding Manually
The Add Holding flow has three steps:
Choose an asset type:
Stocks & ETFs — ASX, NYSE, NASDAQ and more
Cryptocurrency — Bitcoin, Ethereum and 1,000+ coins
Cash & Fixed Income — term deposits, bonds, savings
Custom Asset — property, collectibles, private equity
Search for your asset. For Stocks & ETFs, type a symbol or company name (at least two characters) and tap the matching result. Results show the symbol, company name, logo and exchange badge. No match shows No results; if search can't reach the server you'll see Search unavailable.
Enter the trade details. The trade form opens with the Buy type ready. Fill in Quantity, Share Price, Date and Brokerage, then save. Fields adjust to the trade type you choose.
Once saved, your holding appears in the portfolio and Navexa starts tracking its performance.
Add More Holdings Later
Tap the + on your portfolio overview or holdings list to open the Add to Portfolio sheet — the same three options (Connect Your Broker, Add Data Manually, Import from CSV / Excel). Choose Add Data Manually to open the same three-step Add Holding flow.
