Import or Sync Investment Data in the Mobile App

Connect a Broker or Service (Recommended)

Connecting pulls your trades in automatically — no manual entry.

In the mobile app, Connected Accounts shows the brokers and services you've already linked and lets you check their sync status. Setting up a new connection is done on the Navexa website — add your broker or exchange there and it syncs back to your mobile app automatically.

  1. Open the navigation menu and tap Connected Accounts (also under Settings → Connected Accounts) to review your existing connections and their sync status.

  2. To add a new connection, open the Navexa web app and connect your broker or exchange there.

Once connected, your account syncs in the background and new trades appear automatically. For full details, see Manage Connected Accounts in the Mobile App.

Tip: Some crypto exchanges (e.g. Swyftx, CoinSpot) connect with a read-only API Key — the form includes step-by-step instructions for generating one.

Import a File (CSV / Excel)

File imports happen on the Navexa website, not in the mobile app. If you pick a broker or service whose only connection method is a file upload, its form shows a short message that CSV import isn't available in the app yet, with an Open Web App button that takes you to the Navexa web uploader.

There you can upload your CSV (from Navexa, CommSec, Sharesight, or a generic CSV) and complete the import on the web. Imported trades then sync back to your mobile app automatically.

Contract Notes

Some brokers email a contract note per trade. If yours is set up for this, the connection form gives you a personal Navexa forwarding email — forward (or auto-forward) your contract notes there and trades import automatically. See Manage Connected Accounts in the Mobile App for setup.

Where Imported Data Appears

However trades come in, they flow into your portfolio's Holdings and Transactions. If a synced or imported trade can't be reconciled, the holding is flagged — see Fix Holdings Need Attention Alerts in the Mobile App.
