Track cryptocurrency alongside your other investments — add a crypto holding and record trades.
Add A Crypto Holding
Start adding a holding and choose Cryptocurrency.
In Search cryptocurrency..., type a coin name or ticker (at least two characters).
Tap the coin to go straight to the Add Trade form. The holding isn't created yet — it's created together with this first trade only when you save. Backing out without saving leaves nothing behind.
Add or Edit A Crypto Trade
From a crypto holding, tap Buy or Sell at the bottom, or tap an existing trade to edit. Fields:
Trade Type — Buy, Sell, Trade, Transfer In or Transfer Out.
Date — the trade date (can't be in the future).
Quantity — how many coins (required, greater than zero).
Price — price per coin. Shown for Buy, Sell and Trade only. Tap the Closing chip to fill the market price for that date where available.
Fee(optional) — any transaction fee.
Exchange(optional) — the exchange/source, or None.
Notes(optional).
For Buy, Sell and Trade, a running Total (quantity × price + fee) shows at the top.
Tap Add Trade (or Save Changes when editing).
Tip: When editing a Sell or Transfer Out, tick Exclude from Tax (not a CGT event) if it shouldn't be treated as a capital gains event.
How Crypto Differs From Stocks
More trade types. Crypto adds Trade (a swap) and Transfer In / Transfer Out for moving coins between wallets or exchanges.
Trade (swap) needs both sides. Choosing Trade relabels Quantity and Price to Quantity Received and Price Received, and adds three required fields for the coin you gave up: Asset Sold (pick from the crypto you already own), Quantity Sold and Price Sold (with its own Closing chip).
Fields change with type.Transfer In / Transfer Out show a Fee but no Price, and hide the Total. Buy, Sell and Trade show both Price and Fee.
Exchange, not broker. The source field is labelled Exchange.
Delete A Crypto Trade
When editing a trade, scroll down and tap Delete Trade, then confirm. This can't be undone.
