Learn how to update a client’s details or delete a client in Navexa Pro, and understand what happens to portfolios when a client is removed.

Updated today

Use this guide to update a client’s name or email address, or remove a client from your Navexa Pro account.

This article applies to Navexa Pro.

It is written for Pro account owners and Pro team members who manage clients, portfolios and access inside a Pro account.

Before You Start

In Navexa Pro, a client is the person record you manage in your Pro account.

Editing a client updates that person’s details.

Deleting a client removes that client record from Navexa, but it does not delete the portfolios associated with that client.

Edit A Client

  1. Open Clients from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the client you want to update.

  3. Click Actions in the top right.

  4. Select Edit Client.

  5. Update the client’s:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

  6. Click Update Client.

The client’s details will then be updated.

Delete A Client

  1. Open Clients from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the client you want to remove.

  3. Click Actions in the top right.

  4. Select Delete Client.

  5. Review the confirmation message.

  6. Click Delete Client to confirm.

The client will then be removed from Navexa.

Important To Know

Deleting a client removes the client record, but it does not delete the portfolios associated with that client.

If you want to change portfolio access, update or remove access at the portfolio level separately.

When To Edit Or Delete

Use Edit Client when you need to correct or update the client’s details, such as their name or email address.

Use Delete Client when the client record should no longer exist in your Pro account.

Common Questions

Does Deleting A Client Delete Their Portfolios?

No.

Deleting a client removes the client record from Navexa, but it does not delete the portfolios associated with that client.

Can I Update A Client’s Email Address?

Yes.

Open the client, select Edit Client, update the email field, then click Update Client.

Should I Delete A Client To Remove Portfolio Access?

Not always.

If you only want to remove access to a portfolio, update the portfolio access separately instead of deleting the whole client record.

What Should I Do Before Deleting A Client?

Check whether the client still needs access to any portfolios and whether you only need to change access instead of removing the entire client record.
