Add Custom Investments in the Mobile App

Track anything not on a stock exchange — property, private holdings, collectibles. There's no price feed, so you set the value yourself with custom prices over time.

Add A Custom Investment

  1. Start adding a holding and choose Custom Asset.

  2. Fill in the Add Custom Investment form:

    • Investment Name — e.g. Investment Property (required).

    • Trade TypeBuy or Opening Balance.

    • Trade Date / OB Date — the date (label changes with the trade type; can't be in the future).

    • Quantity — units held (required, greater than zero).

    • Price — price per unit (shown in Buy mode).

    • Cost Base — total cost base (shown in Opening Balance mode).

  3. Tap + More options for an optional Notes field.

  4. Tap Add Custom Investment.

Set and Update Custom Prices

Each price is a value at a date; together they build the holding's value history. On the detail screen, Custom Prices shows your three most recent prices (date, up/down/flat trend, price). Tap See all for the full history and chart.

Add A Price

  1. Open Custom Prices and tap + (Add price).

  2. Fill in the Add Price form:

    • Date — the valuation date (can't be in the future).

    • Price — the value at that date (required). Tap the Closing chip to fill the market price where available.

    • Note (optional) — e.g. Valuation from annual report.

  3. Tap Add Price.

Edit or Delete A Price

Tap the price in the Custom Prices list (or a recent price on the detail screen). Change the Date, Price or Note and tap Save Changes — or tap Delete Price and confirm.

Tip: The Custom Prices screen charts your valuations once you've added more than one price.

Organise Holdings With Custom Groups

Categorise holdings however you like — by sector, risk, strategy, anything.

  1. Open Custom Groups. The header shows your usage against your limit (e.g. 2/5 groups).

  2. Tap + to create a group, enter a name (must be unique), tap Create Group.

  3. Tap a group to open it. Inside Custom Group detail you can:

    • Add Categories with the + chip, and rename or delete existing ones.

    • Search and filter holdings by All, Assigned or Unassigned.

    • Assign holdings individually, or select several and use the bulk action bar to assign or unassign.

  4. Changes stage until you tap Save — a bar shows pending changes. Leaving with unsaved changes prompts you to discard.

To delete a group, long-press it in the list and confirm. This removes it and all its category assignments permanently.

Note: Custom groups have an account limit. At the limit you'll see Group limit reached and need to upgrade to add more.

Once set up, custom groups appear as a group by option in the performance and income reports.
