Importing From Stake Australia

This guide shows you how to:

  1. Import your past Stake Australia trades using Excel files

  2. Turn on email forwarding so new trades flow into Navexa automatically

We recommend doing it in this order:

  1. Import history

  2. Set up email forwarding for new trades

Before you start

Make sure you can:

  • Sign in to your Stake account

  • Sign in to Navexa and open the portfolio you want to update

  • Access the email inbox that receives your Stake trade confirmations

Step 1: Export your Stake history (Excel, not CSV)

Stake provides your trading history as an Excel file.

If you are using the Stake web platform

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner.

  2. In the left sidebar, under Tax & reporting, select Financial year reports.

  3. Under each financial year, find Investment activity.

  4. Click XLSX to download the Excel file.

  5. Repeat for every financial year you want to import.

Important: Navexa says “CSV File Upload” but you upload Excel

In Navexa, the button is called CSV File Upload.

For Stake, you should upload the Investment activity XLSX files you just downloaded.

Just so you know, you do not need to convert the files to CSV. Upload the Excel (.xlsx) files as they are.

Step 2: Upload your Stake history to Navexa

  1. In Navexa, open the portfolio that holds your Stake account.

  2. Click Add Holdings.

  3. Choose Import From Broker/Account.

  4. Search for and select Stake Australia.

  5. Choose CSV File Upload.

  6. Drag and drop your Stake Investment activity XLSX file into the uploader
or click Browse Files and select it.

  7. Click Upload File.

  8. Review the summary and confirm the import.

If you have multiple financial years, repeat the upload for each XLSX file.

Step 3: Turn on contract note forwarding (new trades only)

Contract note forwarding automatically flows future trades into Navexa.

  1. On the Stake Australia page in Navexa, choose Contract Note Importer.

  2. Copy your portfolio’s unique import email address.

  3. In your email provider (for example, Gmail or Outlook), create a forwarding rule that automatically forwards Stake trade confirmation emails (with the contract note attached) to that address.

  4. Save or activate the rule.

  5. When you place your next trade, Stake will email the contract note and your email provider will forward it to Navexa.

  6. Allow a few minutes for the trade to appear in your portfolio.

Note: Contract note forwarding does not import past trades.
If nothing appears after you set it up, that is expected until your next trade is executed.

After importing

  • Repeat the upload for each Stake Investment activity XLSX file you have.

  • You can import from other brokers using their own import options, or
use Add Trade Data Manually for anything not covered.

  • Navexa de-duplicates identical trades to help avoid doubles.

Troubleshooting

No trades after turning on forwarding

  • Forwarding only works for new trades. For history, you must upload the
Investment activity XLSX files using CSV File Upload.

  • Check that the rule targets Stake trade confirmation emails and that
    the contract notes are attached.

  • Confirm you used the correct portfolio import email address.

File rejected or error on upload

  • Confirm you downloaded Investment activity as XLSX, not PDF.

  • Make sure you are uploading the Excel file directly, without changing the format.

  • If you use multiple Stake accounts or currencies, check that you are uploading
the correct file to the correct Navexa portfolio.

Some trades are missing

  • Confirm you downloaded Investment activity for every relevant financial year.

  • Re-download the XLSX file if you recently made changes or new trades.

If you are still having trouble, take screenshots of the error and the file selection screen, and send them to us in support so we can take a closer look.
