This article makes sure you don’t waste time building a portfolio that doesn’t meet the challenge rules.

Core rules

  • Starting capital: $100,000 AUD (virtual)

  • Asset types: Stocks only (stocks and/or ETFs)

  • Markets supported: ASX + US (NYSE, NASDAQ)

  • Required holdings: Exactly 10 stocks

How scoring works

Winners are determined by portfolio return percentage. Highest return by the end of the challenge wins.

  1. Entries are accepted from 12:01 am AEDT on the 26th of December 2025 and remain open until midnight AEDT on 31 January 2026 (Entry Period)

  2. Tracking commences immediately after 31 January 2026

  3. No new entrants will be allowed after 31 January 2026

  4. Entrants are required to pick their investments and allocate their virtual capital before the end of the Entry Period - no changes are allowed after this time.

  5. Portfolios that are not fully allocated will NOT be allowed to change their portfolios, either their chosen investments or their weightings, after the Entry Period.

  6. All portfolios are measured in total return (income plus growth) terms, in accordance with Navexa's existing weighting and tracking methodology.

  7. The Navexa team has the sole, absolute and irrevocable power to determine how corporate actions are tracked and determined during the game (e.g. takeover events, mergers, acquisitions, stock splits, dividends, etc.).
