Why Is Automatic Dividend Reinvestment Unavailable in Navexa?

Understand why automatic DRP may be unavailable, check the reinvestment information and record a known allocation from your statement.

“Dividend Reinvestment is not available for this holding” means Navexa cannot currently calculate automatic Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) allocations for that holding. It does not, by itself, establish whether your broker or registry offers reinvestment.

Where the Message Appears

The message appears under Auto Dividend Reinvestment on the holding’s Settings tab. The screenshot below shows this unavailable setting.

Why Automatic DRP May Be Unavailable

Automatic DRP needs reinvestment information for the security. Possible situations include:

  • The company or fund does not offer an official DRP for the security.

  • Navexa does not yet have the reinvestment data needed to support automatic DRP for the holding. This can occur with a newly introduced plan.

  • Your broker offers its own reinvestment service that Navexa cannot calculate automatically from the security’s standard dividend data.

Check the Plan and Payment Details

Check the information for the exact security and payment before deciding how to record it.

  1. Check the stock code and market on your Navexa holding.

  2. Visit the company or fund’s investor centre or your share registry to confirm whether an official DRP applies. If reinvestment is provided by your broker, check its own records.

  3. Check whether the final reinvestment price and allocation have been announced or included on your statement.

Wait until your statement shows the number of shares received and the reinvestment price before entering the payment manually.

Record a Known Reinvestment Individually

You can record an actual allocation from your statement without enabling automatic DRP for the holding. Follow How to Enable or Edit DRP for a Specific Dividend in Navexa. That guide explains how to edit the income payment and check the resulting reinvestment trade.

Recording an allocation individually does not enable automatic tracking for subsequent payments.

When to Contact Support

If the official DRP and final price are available but Navexa still cannot calculate the reinvestment, contact Support with the stock code, market, payment date and a link or screenshot showing the official plan and price. This helps identify whether the relevant security data is missing or incorrect.

For an unsupported broker reinvestment service, you can request automation through the Navexa feedback board. Include the broker name and the type of reinvestment information its statements provide. A feature request does not enable the service.
