Connect Interactive Brokers (IBKR) to Navexa to automatically keep supported investment activity up to date.
What The Sync Includes
The IBKR Web Service provides ongoing daily syncs of supported trades, positions and balances.
Standard buy and sell trades for supported shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Individual IBKR accounts and accounts with multiple sub-accounts.
The integration does not import short selling, options, contracts for difference (CFDs), futures or other derivatives. Add unsupported investments manually as Custom Investments where suitable.
Get Your Web Service Details
You need an IBKR Token and Query ID before connecting your account.
Sign in to the IBKR Client Portal.
Open Performance & Reports, then select Third Party Reports.
Select the plus icon beside Third-Party Services.
Find and select Navexa, then continue.
Copy the Token and Query ID shown by IBKR.
Connect IBKR To Navexa
Once you have your Web Service details, connect the IBKR account to the portfolio where you want the activity to appear.
Open Portfolio from the left-hand menu and select + Add Holdings.
Search for and select Interactive Brokers.
Select Direct Account Link.
Enter the IBKR Token and Query ID, then select Next.
Enter the IBKR account number, choose the Navexa portfolio, set Sync From to Beginning, then select Link Account.
If you have sub-accounts, enter each sub-account number and map each one to the correct Navexa portfolio.
First Sync And Backfill
Navexa syncs new supported IBKR activity each day. Allow up to 24 hours after linking for IBKR to make the data available and for Navexa to process it.
New IBKR Web Service connections receive an automatic historical backfill from IBKR. IBKR provides eligible trades from 1 January 2024, or from your account inception if later.
Note: You do not need to email IBKR to request a historical file for a new Web Service connection.
Add Older Trade History
If you need to add eligible trades from before the automated backfill period, export them from IBKR and upload them as a CSV.
Follow Import Interactive Brokers (IBKR) Trades Using CSV for the correct export and upload process.
Existing FTP Connections
Existing IBKR FTP connections can continue syncing. You do not need to replace a working FTP connection.
IBKR no longer accepts requests to create new FTP connections. New IBKR connections must use the Web Service process in this article.
To move an existing FTP connection to the Web Service, open Settings → Connected Accounts → Interactive Brokers, delete the existing connection without selecting the option to delete imported trades, then reconnect using Direct Account Link.
