Navexa helps your client keep investment records together, track performance and prepare investment income and capital-gains information for tax time. As their accountant, you can use its reports and underlying records alongside source statements when preparing their return.
How Navexa Works
Investment and trade records enter Navexa through supported connections, contract-note or file imports, bulk trade spreadsheets, or manual entry. Available methods depend on the broker and investment.
Navexa can generate eligible dividends and distributions from holding history and available income data. These records need review against source statements; other income and final annual fund components may need manual entry.
Keeping these records together helps you trace report figures to the investments, transactions and income behind them, identify gaps and review corrections.
What the Reports Provide
Australian tax reports are available for subscriptions billed in AUD, for portfolios with AUD base currency, depending on the client’s plan.
Start with ATO MyTax for a combined tax-report overview, then use Taxable Income and Capital Gains Tax for supporting detail. Valuation and cost reports can also support your review.
Sale allocation choices affect calculated capital gains tax (CGT): Capital Gains Tax Settings. On eligible plans, Scenarios models hypothetical tax, cash and portfolio effects without placing orders or recording trades: What Are Scenarios in Navexa?.
Choose How to Review
Report files: review available PDF or Excel reports without a Navexa login.
Shared access: use your own login. Read only lets you inspect records and export available reports. Read & Write also permits agreed changes to live records and settings, followed by fresh reports.
Navexa supports your assessment of the client’s tax position. It does not lodge the return or guarantee tax accuracy.
