Upload supported PDF trade contract notes directly into Navexa, then review the extracted details before adding the trades to your portfolio. You can upload multiple PDFs together when the trades belong to the same portfolio.
Use your broker’s original PDF trade contract notes. Annual tax statements are handled separately.
Upload Your PDF Contract Notes
Before uploading, check whether the trades are already recorded in Navexa, especially if you have entered them manually or forwarded the notes by email.
Open the portfolio where the trades belong.
Select Portfolio from the left-hand menu.
Select Add Holdings.
Select Upload a PDF.
Drag one or more PDFs into the upload area, or select Browse Files and choose your files.
Wait while Navexa analyses the files and extracts the trade details.
Review The Extracted Trades
Files uploaded together appear in one grouped review. Check the trades from every PDF before completing the import.
Review:
Symbol and Exchange.
Date and Type.
Quantity and Price.
Fee, Fee Currency and FX Rate, where applicable.
You can click editable fields to correct the details. Remove duplicate rows, including trades already recorded in your portfolio or repeated across the uploaded files.
If the detected broker or source is incorrect, select the source field and choose the correct provider. Unknown broker does not always mean the import has failed. Check whether the extracted trades are correct before continuing.
Use Only show errors to find rows that need attention. Correct missing or highlighted details before importing. If the extracted data is not usable, select Abandon import.
Import And Check Your Trades
Once the reviewed details are correct, select Import Trades.
Select View transactions after the import completes.
Review the newly added trades on the Transactions page, where the Imported trades filter is applied.
Import Future Trades Automatically
Uploading PDFs is a one off import. It adds trades from the files you upload, without setting up an ongoing broker connection.
For future automatic imports, set up contract note forwarding using your portfolio’s Navexa Link email address. See Contract Note Importer.
